Partners with the South Carolina Foster Parent AssociationDarkness to Light is a grassroots national non-profit organization based in Charleston, South Carolina, that seeks to protect children from sexual abuse by placing responsibility squarely on adult shoulders. Adults are educated to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
The South Carolina Foster Parents Association is partnering with Darkness to Light in the South Carolina Foster Parent/Child Abuse Prevention Initiative. Ten foster parents and ten DSS staff have been trained and will work together as co-trainers to train foster parents around the state.
